Because of this beautiful reality, referring to such an individual as a 'revert' is deeply meaningful and highly accurate.
The Practicality of "Convert"
On the other hand, in common, everyday language, the term 'convert' is highly practical. It clearly conveys to the general public that the individual was previously following a different faith or belief system and has now transitioned into the religion of Islam. For the sake of clear communication and general understanding, using the word 'convert' is also completely fine.
